Whistle Punk Trailhead provides easy trailer parking and access to the Pacific Crest Trail. Located just north of Carson in Southwest Washington. This trailhead provides access to the PCT at mile 2,180.7 in Section H of the Pacific Crest Trail.

Parking: Medium sized lot with turnaround, room for 3-4 trailers.

Facilities: Vault toilet.

Permits: NW Forest Pass

Water Sources: None at trailhead. Ride 0.7 miles southbound to Trout Creek, will need a bucket as horses cannot get to creekbed.

Directions: From Carson, WA travel north for approximately 9 miles on Wind River Highway (Forest Road 30). Turn left onto Hemlock Road and go 1 1/4 miles to Forest Service Road 43 (just past the Wind River Work Center). Turn right on Forest Service Road 43 and go 1/2 mile to Forest Service Road 417. Turn right on Forest Service Road 417. Go about 1/2 mile to the parking lot.

Road Conditions: Well-maintained gravel.
