Rye Spur Horse Camp (also known as Rye Spur Trailhead) is located in Southern Oregon approximately one hour from Klamath Falls, Oregon. The camp lies within the Fremont-Winema National Forest and provides access to the Sky Lakes Wilderness if you ride to the north. This camp is free to use and offers quiet dispersed camping with a small pond for stock water.

Cell Service: Verizon – spotty/sporadic but was able to receive texts.
Getting There
Directions: From Klamath Falls: Take Oregon Highway 140 west towards Medford, Oregon for approximately 29 miles. Then turn right onto Forest Service Road 3661/Fourmile Lake Road. Travel on Fourmile Lake Road/Forest Road 3661 for about 3.5 miles and turn right onto the 360 spur road and follow to the end of the road.

Site Specifics:
Several dispersed spots with fire rings and trees to highline. The corrals are gone as of May 2026.
