Sevenmile Horse Camp is located along Highway 20 in the Willamette National Forest. Just an hour and a half from Eugene, OR and under one hour to Sisters, OR – this camp is a good option for those wanting something closer to home. This camp provides access to the historic Santiam Wagon Road but don’t be deceived as the trails here are often single tracks on steep hills. Riding through this historic area will make you ponder how challenging it was for those that used the wagon road for its original purpose.

Campsites: 3 equestrian sites with 2-horse corrals in each.
Fees: $16/night, $7 additional vehicles.

Popularity: Low use.
Elevation: 3,000 feet

Getting There
Directions: From Sweet Home, Oregon, proceed east on Highway 20 for 32 miles to Sevenmile Road (Forest Service Road 024). The horse camp is located approximately 1/4 mile down FS Road 024.

Stock Containment: Corrals.
Stock Water: Spring/tank located just down the trail but dries up in late summer.

Manure Bin: No – please disperse manure in pile at back of campground or take with you.
Trash/Dumpster: No – pack it out.
Bathroom: Yes – vault toilet.
Day Use Parking: Yes.
