Quinn Meadows Horse camp is located in the Deschutes National Forest along the Cascade Lakes Scenic Highway in Central Oregon. Just minutes from Mount Bachelor, and provides direct access to the Three Sisters Wilderness. This camp books up very quickly during peak season and walk-in sites are unheard of on the weekends. Book well in advance for this one!
Camp Overview
Campsites: 26 sites.
Fees: 4-horse site; $29/night. 2-horse site; $25/night. 50% off with Interagency Access Pass or Senior Passes. Additional vehicles $10 per night.
Permits: Central Cascades Wilderness Permit System in place for all trails on opposite side of the highway.
Popularity: Always full.
Elevation: 5,066 feet
Season: Late May – Late September – however trails are not cleared until snow melts off in Mid July or later depending on snow levels.

Directions: From Bend, OR: Travel 31.2 miles southwest on Cascade Lakes Hwy, camp will be on the left.

Stock Containment: Individual metal corrals.
Stock Water: Yes – hand pump at end of camp. Be prepared to walk a bit. The water system is turned on in May (depending on weather conditions) and turned off no later than September 30, or upon the campground closing, whichever, is earlier to prevent potential damage from cold temperatures.
Potable Water: Yes – hand pump.
Manure Bin: Yes.
Trash/Dumpster: Yes.
Bathroom: Yes – vault toilets.

– 2 night minimum on weekends, must reserve Fri & Sat on the same reservation.
– Holiday weekends include: Columbus Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Veterans Day, Christmas. If the holiday falls on a Friday or Saturday, the customer will be required to reserve the nights of: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and may check out on Sunday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday or Monday, the customer will be required to reserve the nights of: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and may check out on Monday.
