Greeny Lakes Trailhead provides access to the Three Sisters Wilderness via Green Lakes Trail #17 and Soda Creek Trail #11. Soda Creek Trail allows horses but not recommended by many due to the technicality and steepness of it.

Parking: Medium sized area in the lot specifically for trailers.

  • Park Meadow – 8.5 miles
  • Pacific Crest Trail – 7.2 miles
  • Mesa Springs – 5.7 miles
  • Moraine Lake – 3.5 miles
  • Green Lakes – 4.6 miles
  • Wikiup Plain – 6.3 miles
  • No Name Lake – 10.0 miles

Facilities: Pit toilet. Hitching post. Dumpster. No corrals, no water.

Permits: 

Day Use – Central Cascades Wilderness Permit – online reservation required.
Overnight Use – Central Cascades Wilderness Permit – Online reservation required. 
Parking – NW Forest Pass or Interagency Pass. A purchase machine available is onsite for the NE Forest Pass

Backcountry Sites: Backcountry sites at Green Lakes are not close to water and there is no grazing available. Recommend to continue on the Park Meadow for overnighting.

Cell Service: Verizon service at trailhead.

Elevation: 5446 feet

Fuel: Bend or Sunriver. Elk Lake Resort not suitable for trailers.

Directions: From Bend, OR: Travel 26.7 miles west on Cascade Lakes Highway (46).
